Aim Customer McCauley’s Helps Breed Horse to Kentucky Derby Gold

Posted on May 8th, 2018

LEXINGTON, KY – When talking about horsepower, we’re usually talking about motorized transportation, in some form or another, and not actual horses. But in this case, we’re talking about both.

Aim customer McCauley’s, nestled in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass region, has been building champion horses since the 1930s. They specialize in the creation of premium feeds and nutritional supplements for horses, and they utilize Aim’s transportation services to distribute their premium products to their customers.

Last weekend, many of you probably watched, or at least heard about, the Kentucky Derby, often referred to as “the most exciting two minutes in sports,” where prized thoroughbred horses race in the first leg of the Triple Crown.

You also probably heard about the winner of the Derby: Justify. After Saturday’s win, Justify is now the second undefeated Derby winner since 2016 and just the ninth since 1915.

And perhaps even more important—to us anyway—Justify, at one point during his development, was raised on McCauley’s feed.

Moreover, the winner of the Kentucky Oaks, a race held the day before the Kentucky Derby exclusively for fillies, or female horses, was Monomoy Girl. She was also once raised on McCauley brand premium feed.

Other McCauley’s-fed horses to participate in the weekend events were:

The Kentucky Oaks: Classy Act, Eskimo Kisses, Take Charge Paula and My Miss Lilly.

The Kentucky Derby: Audible, My Boy Jack, Vino Russo, Solomini, Instilled Regard and Good Magic.

One thing is for sure—McCauley’s builds champions, and Aim is happy to be part of that success.

Justify (right) sprints to Kentucky Derby glory.
