GIRARD, OH – Aim Transportation Solutions, a provider of commercial vehicles and service for more than 50 years, has announced the promotion of Aaron Chamberlin to Director of Maintenance. He joins LeRoy Casali in this role and will be responsible for overseeing all East Coast vehicle maintenance operations, while Casali will manage those on the West Coast.
Chamberlin was originally brought on as one of Aim’s Regional Directors of Maintenance; however, because of his two decades of experience, vast knowledge, management abilities and numerous certifications, Aim upper management felt he would be perfect for this key position.
“Aaron brings with him a wealth of skills, know-how and technical proficiencies that we know will further bolster Aim’s robust maintenance division,” said Aim Vice President of Operations Terry Dimascio.
Chamberlin is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has been in the transportation industry since 1999, beginning his career with Thermo King, the world leader in temperature control systems for the transportation industry, where he spent the first eight years for his career. He then spent the next 11 years with Penske Truck Leasing.
Throughout his career, Chamberlin has worked tirelessly to diversify his knowledge and abilities by taking part in several leadership and certification trainings. He is Green Belt certified in Six Sigma, a set of techniques and tools for process improvement, as well as ASE certified, a program that promotes excellence within all sectors of the automotive repair industry. While at Penske, he was master certified under the company’s Technician Certification Program.
“I hope to leverage my maintenance experience to help make an impact through productive changes of policies, procedures, specifications and training programs to ensure we’re providing industry-leading customer service,” said Chamberlin.
Chamberlin has also received certifications from countless equipment manufacturers, including: Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Navistar, Volvo, Thermo King, Meritor, Bendix, Eaton, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Allison, Maxon and Waltco.
Chamberlin also brings with him demonstrated success building strong, efficient teams as well as developing internal talent to fill leadership roles.
“I look forward to providing leadership under Aim’s family-owned structure,” said Chamberlin. “This kind of environment promotes a clear vision, allowing us to enact positive changes together without the major delays or barriers associated with a more layered corporate structure.”
Along with overseeing all vehicle maintenance for East Coast operations, Chamberlin will be responsible for ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction; as well as controlling cost, team building and working with the Aim sales team in an effort to grow the revenue base.
“Every branch of Aim leans on our maintenance division to provide a level of customer service that’s a cut above the rest,” said Dimascio. “It’s essential that we have the right people leading the way, and we have every bit of confidence in Aaron’s ability to pioneer Aim’s ongoing path to industry excellence.”
