Aim Co-President Scott Fleming Pours for a Good Cause

On October 20, Aim Co-President Scott Fleming jumped behind the bar at R46 Restaurant & Bar, in Canfield, OH, as a celebrity bartender for a fundraising event benefiting the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

Earlier this year, Mr. Fleming and his wife, Erica, were named United Way campaign chairs, and Mrs. Fleming, as owner of the Mega Barre in Youngstown, OH, also poured drinks as a fellow celebrity bartender.

For decades, Aim Transportation Solutions has been teaming up with the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley to make positive, long-lasting impacts in the area. Throughout this partnership, Aim has contributed time, money and resources to several community-enriching campaigns, such as participating in the Day of Caring, mentoring in the Success After 6 program, raising money during annual employee-led fundraisers and more.

The local celebrity bartending event was in support of the United Way’s Women United initiative. For six years running, the grassroots group, with its passionate and caring women, has been dedicated to making a tangible impact on the lives of local children through volunteering in early Education. Its members are integral in several United Way programs – giving their time to mentor middle school-aged girls in the Young Women’s Mentorship Program, tutoring elementary school children in Project More, volunteering as a Report Card Mentor or helping out at the various Women United! events.

In 2021, Women United raised $14,300 for the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, which positively impacted the students and families of our Success By 6 and Success After 6 initiatives.

“The United Way’s Celebrity Bartending event at R46 was a great event for an even greater cause,” Scott Fleming said. “I had a blast behind the bar serving drinks to the guests, who came out in full force to support the Women United mission.”

“Thank you to the United Way, R46 and its staff, my fellow celebrity bartenders and everyone who came out for a drink,” Fleming continued. “Your contributions will make long-lasting positive impacts on the local community.”

To achieve everything the United Way sets out to do, it relies on the help and donations of local communities.
