This year marks five years since Industrial Commodities, Inc. (ICI Foods) joined the Aim Integrated Logistics team. As a celebration of this partnership and a gesture of appreciation, Senior Vice President of Integrated Sales Tom Reda and Regional Director of Logistics Tommy Culpepper traveled to Kings Mountain, NC to take the ICI team out for a night on the town.
Reda and Culpepper were joined by ICI drivers and partners for a tour of the ICI plant and dinner.
“Facility tours and business dinners like these allow us to forge meaningful, trusted, long-lasting one-on-one relationships with our customers,” said Senior VP of Integrated Sales Tom Reda. “We were grateful to have the ICI team take the time to join us to break bread and celebrate five years of partnership.”
On Wednesday, April 19, Aim Transportation Solutions held a kick-off event at their Trumbull Avenue office in Youngstown, OH to celebrate their new partnership with ELD supplier, Platform Science.
“After a very long search, we’re excited to enter this partnership with the best in the business,” said Aim Vice President of Safety Ron Bourque. “Platform Science offers the most advanced technology with the most flexibility.”
Aim Transportation Solutions isn’t just a fleet solutions provider. It’s a legacy. It’s a legacy built more than 40 years ago by a natural leader, industry innovator and dedicated humanitarian: Tom Fleming, Aim Founder, Chairman and CEO.
For his enduring, influential contributions to the industry, Tom Fleming was recently awarded the Truck Renting and Leasing Association's (TRALA) Steve Lawrence Legacy Award. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made significant, long-lasting impacts on TRALA and the industry as a whole.
With the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) International Roadcheck set for May 16-18, the 72-hour commercial vehicle inspection blitz will be set upon the industry ready or not
Each year, the CVSA sets categories of focus for roadside inspections during this annual high-volume, high-visibility event. This year, law enforcement officials will be taking an extra careful look at anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and cargo securement as they primarily conduct the 37-step North American Standard Level I Inspections.
Please join us in congratulating Freddy Solis on his promotion to Software Security Architect. Freddy started his career with Aim Transportation Solutions in 2014 as a Programmer Analyst. Shortly after, he was promoted to Software Development Team Lead, a position he held until his latest promotion to Software Security Architect.
“As Aim’s in-house developed software options continue to expand, there is an ever-growing need to focus on software cyber security,” said Vice President of Software Development, Dan Kellgren. “To continue to maintain a high level of security, Aim has created a new position within its software development group. Freddy will be heading up our software security efforts.”
For decades, Aim has been committed to making positive, long-lasting impacts in the areas where we live and work, donating time, money and resources to community-enriching campaigns, such as those led by the United Way.
And sometimes Aim finds some rather unique ways to give back, like this most recent one that involves a retired Broadway set, 340 miles and a $1 fee.
Aim's software development team recently participated in team-building activities, and studied current and upcoming technologies during the group’s Winter Software Summit.
Led by Aim’s VP of Software Development, Dan Kellgren, the goal is to get the group out of the office to spend the day training, brainstorming, focusing on growing knowledge or skill for applicable technology-related topics.
Maintenance is the heartbeat of Aim’s day-to-day operations. In fact, Aim’s award-winning service not only sustains us; it elevates us. It’s why more and more companies are choosing Aim for their transportation needs. Aim as a company doesn’t get to its elite level without hardworking, dedicated individuals, those like Scherry May, who was recently promoted to Maintenance Support Director.
Scherry got her start in the transportation industry back in 1996 working for Fyda Freightliner in the warranty department. Two years later, in ’98, Scherry would join Aim’s warranty department, and, going on 25 years since, she has climbed the ranks while simultaneously establishing herself as an invaluable resource for Aim’s nationwide maintenance division.
Youngstown State University held its annual STEM Expo on February 23, 2023. This event was hosted by The College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). YSU holds this expo twice annually and it gives students and employers a great way to get to know one another and talk about job opportunities in the local community.
There were roughly 120 employers that gathered to meet prospective interns and employees. As many as 800 undergraduates, graduates, and alumni attended this year’s expo. Dan Kellgren, VP of Software Development, led Aim’s team at this event.
