Aim Transportation Solutions, a nationwide leader in commercial truck and equipment leasing, rentals, dedicated contract carriage and maintenance, had three technicians place first in three of the six regions Aim participated in during NationaLease’s 2020 Tech Challenge.
NationaLease, Aim’s affiliate network comprised of more than 150 independent businesses, making it one of the largest truck leasing organizations in North America, holds this annual event to recognize member company technicians with the opportunity to compete in a series of events that test their knowledge and skills in all things commercial truck and equipment maintenance.
This first leg of the competition features a written examination and is the preliminary step to qualify for the title of NationaLease Top Tech.
These three Aim finalists will head to Atlanta to compete in the next round, a hands-on competition, at the NationaLease maintenance meeting:
• Aim Technician John Norwood, Elmhurst, IL – past regional winner / former apprentice
• Aim Technician Eric Maynard, Erie, PA – first time regional winner / former apprentice
• Aim Working Foreman Rodney Durst, Walton Hills, OH – first time regional winner / former apprentice
Of special note are that all three gentlemen are graduates of Aim’s apprenticeship program, which takes on aspiring techs and puts them through a 42-month program, providing the necessary tools and skills to become certified, full-time Aim technicians.
Congratulation John, Eric and Rodney. You’ve got the full support of Aim behind you!
