Aim Leasing has long been a supporter of the United Way and was very proud to be represented at the Mahoning Valley’s 19 th Annual Day of Caring on September 2, 2016.
For the past few years, the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley has joined with the city of Youngstown, Green Youngstown, American Red Cross and Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. to focus on cleaning community neighborhoods. This year their efforts went into cleaning up homes in the South Side neighborhoods, cutting overgrowth, dragging trash and debris, clearing sidewalks and picking up litter.
Kim Slater, Aim Integrated Logistics Billing and Payroll Manager, participated in the Day of Caring and said, “It feels good to be able to represent my employer while participating in the United Way organization. I think it’s great for other people and businesses in the community to see that Aim NationaLease has employees that care and are willing to help out.” When questioned about what she likes about the United Way she went on to say: “I like United Way because they are giving back and making a difference to things in the community I live in. My money isn’t going to some city I don’t know. I also like that I can choose where my contribution goes if I have a specific request in the community.”
